Tea Tasting & Storytelling
Taiwan edition
Taiwan Tea Journey
A journey through Taiwan, told through tea, stories, and flavours. Taste a selection of Taiwanese teas while discovering the landscapes, traditions, and stories behind each cup.
Hosted by Gergő Neubrant, founder of Teander Specialty Tea Shop and Okūma.
The Focus
This summer, we visited the Wang family in Nantou, Taiwan, and came back with some truly exceptional teas. Joshua Wang, a third-generation tea grower, and his sister Ivy continue their family’s tradition, working closely with local farmers and producing oolongs using both modern techniques and traditional longan-wood charcoal roasting.
We spent time in their gardens, learned how their hand-picked and hand-rolled teas are made, and even got to make our own. More than just a tea farm, it was a place filled with incredible hospitality, knowledge and genuine passion — and we’re excited to share the teas we brought back with you at Okūma.
