Open Dharma Budapest - Free Meditation
Open Dharma Budapest is a friendly meditation sangha for anyone interested in meditation. Every Sunday we gather for 1–1.5 hours at a local tea house to sit together, share, and support each other on the path.
What to expect: Each session begins with a 20-minute silent sit, followed by an open, voluntary sharing of our experiences — a space to process what arises in practice, together.
You’re welcome to enjoy a cup of tea before the session (Menu). If you plan to come earlier for tea, please also book here for Sunday 5PM (You can come slightly later).

Your Host
Sessions are hosted by Maria East, a long-term practitioner of Theravāda, Vajrayāna, and Dzogchen, with over 10 silent retreats over the last 5 years. Maria is also a clinical psychologist in training, who is happy to offer additional support if practice brings up anything challenging.
Attention
This is not a guided meditation class. We explore a range of techniques rooted in Theravāda Buddhism, with a modern and pragmatic approach – open to both seasoned practitioners and complete beginners.
